A wonderful evening

Last night, the fam and I had an awesome night. When Charlie and I got home from work, we grabbed Toby and took a nice long walk. Then, daddy came and met up with us for the tail end.

Charlie insisted on being the one to walk Toby. She literally didn’t let go of the leash for a second…

After our walk, we fed Charlie dinner and kept her up late to play 🙂

Once Charlotte was down for the night, it was time for a little mommy/daddy date. We are delicious salmon tacos, sipped wine and enjoyed the peaceful sounds of birds and wildlife in the backyard.

It was a great night!

My Baby Stands… Regularly

What the heck!! Charlotte is getting so big, so fast! I’m freaking out.

This morning, after about 10 minutes of trying, she stood up in her crib! And then, started crying because she couldn’t get down…

Then, when I was putting her down for her first nap this morning, she did it again. I laid her down on her back and instantly she rolled over and hopped to her feet where she stood until I grabbed her and laid her back down.

Apparently, she just wanted to hang out and play all morning…

Charlotte’s Lunch was Bigger Than Mine

She ate ALL of this plus a meatball, a zucchini spear and a potato!

I swear, I’m not exaggerating. The tiny one ate 2 chicken Apple meatballs, 5.5 Rosemary fingerling potatoes, and 5 giant spears of steamed zucchini (aka over half a large zucchini)… I had a salad.

Clearly she gets her love of food from Mark and I, because this girl can literally take down a meal.

As for the recipes…

Chicken meatballs

I cheated with the meatballs. I bought 1 lb of ground Apple chicken sausage from the outpost (made with all whole food ingredients) and added…

1 shredded zucchini (gotta make sure this chickidee gets her veggies)

1/2 – 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs

I mixed it all up and rolled into 1″ balls

Cook on a lined baking sheet for 20 minutes at 350 degrees

Steamed Zucchini

I just cut however zucchinis I’m cooking in half and then into quarters lengthwise

Boil about an inch of water, plop zucchini in your steamer basket over the boiling pot of water, cover and let steam for about 8-10 minutes.

DONE! And she LOVES them…

Rosemary Fingerling Potatoes

Again, talk about simple…

1 bag of fingerling potatoes washed

Toss with:

1-2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt & Pepper to taste

2 Pinches of Rosemary

Bake at 425 degrees for 40 minutes

Baby Giggles

I know, I know… another video from yesterday… BUT, she was just on yesterday. She had her cuteness in full effect and was melting my heart left and right.

This last video is from the half hour or so before our nighttime routine. We had just finished dinner and were playing in her room. She was being such a goof… dragging her little head on the ground, laughing at everything… pretty much just being adorable.

My mom would refer to her mood as being “punchy,” which pretty much equates to goofball.

Enjoy!

Puppy Play, Chugging & Nap Time Cuteness

Today was my first full day back with my little tiny one, and despite a rough start, we had a great day. Here are a couple videos from the day…

1) Charlie FINALLY got the hang of playing with her pup and Toby finally found the tolerance to play with her. The result? A whole heck of a lot of cute!

2) I’ve been meaning to get this on video… my baby is the ultimate chugger. It’s absurd! Literally every time she takes a sip from her cup, it’s as if she’s entered in a chugging contest. She’s quite dramatic…

3) The last video for the day is of my sweet pumpkin being a cutie pie before nap time.
