Charlie has been lunging herself all around for the past couple of weeks… But today, the real deal started. I put her on the floor, she popped up on all fours and then instead of rocking back and forth, she lifted her hand.
I yelled for Mark and said, “I think this is it! She’s going to start crawling.”
She’s lifted her arm before, but something about her stance and the way she kept placing her hand back on the ground was different.
So Mark came in the room and after a about 3 minutes of her just staring at us smiling, she did it! It was wobbly and uncoordinated at first, but quickly, she got the hang of it.
About 20 minutes into her crawling debut, she had already crossed the room over to her dresser where she proceeded to open and close the drawer.
Crap!!
Guess it’s time to baby proof.
It is amazing how fast they learn to get around! Bug went from hands and knees, to army crawl to crawling within a week and after just a couple of days she was so fast!! Then she got frustrated that she couldn’t crawl and then sit and play so she figured out how to scoot on her bottom and get wherever she wants! It funny and keeps me very busy!
So exciting!!!
Yay! And just wait! She will be into everything! It’s so much fun, yet hard to keep up with! These babies get big way too fast:(
I know! It’s crazy…
Congrats, that’s so exciting! Annabelle figured out how to army crawl a couple months ago and since she can get around very quickly she’s not very worried about doing it “properly.”
Hahaha Charlotte doesn’t seem keen on proper either. She goes for “her way”…
Oh my goodness this is so exciting! Jude has been rocking, lifting his knees, and lunging, but no hand movement yet. Congrats!
It’s coming!
Oh my goodness, how EXCITING!!! 🙂
I think this is the most fun thing about being a parent… It’s watching your precious baby reaching milestones like this. 🙂
