Happy Passover

Typically, Mark and I celebrate Passover with my family on one night and with either his mom or dad and step mom another night. Because there are only two days in which you perform the Passover Seder (dinner), we have to skip the dinner with one side of his family each year. With this in mind, last year we volunteered to host a joint Seder with both Mark’s mom, grandpop, dad, step mom, sister, brother-in-law, nieces, and my parents…. and that’s just what we did last night!

Thankfully, both Milly (Mark’s mom) and Mark’s step mom Amy prepared almost all of the food… so really, my work was pretty limited to getting the house ready (remember, we had three house guests this weekend), preparing vegetables and a couple other little things, and playing host a bit. If you ask me, it worked out VERY well and was really a great little evening.

Here are some photos!

The table all set! Yes, there are plastic/paper dishes on that table... don't judge! 12 people is a lot for a Tuesday night :)

And just for fun, my uncle sent me these great pics of the nursery… which you’ve all seen a bazillion times. But still, I love it!

Symptoms

So, tonight is the first night in probably a week or more that we don’t have any plans… and I have to say, I’m looking forward to going to the gym, heading home and getting in bed EARLY. I miss sleep! We’ve been going to bed at around midnight almost every night and getting up around 6:30. That is just not enough sleep. So, tonight, we’ll get back on track. Or at least I will… the poor husband has been SO swamped with work. Last week, he put in over 60 hours and it wasn’t nearly enough to get all of his work done. I feel bad. Poor guy.

Also, today is the third morning that the little pumpkin has had the hiccups… pretty silly. I can’t wait to kiss her.
